Camelott® Remote Lockdown Keyfob Trigger

Camelott® Remote Lockdown Keyfob Trigger

This compact Camelott® Remote Trigger allows designated staff to raise a full wireless lockdown alarm from anywhere on site, without needing to reach a fixed Call Point location.

It’s built for the real-life scenarios people don’t like to think about: a safeguarding concern spotted first on a corridor, a reception incident, an outdoor supervision issue,
or a situation where getting to a wall-mounted point simply isn’t realistic. One press provides immediate, site-wide audible + visual signalling —
and where required, the same activation can also support PC pop-up alerts, mobile notifications and screen text display messaging so staff receive clear written instruction at the same time.

Lockdown Alarm Sounds

The Remote Keyfob activates the site-wide audible & visual alert gallery.

Listen to Alerts

Overview

The Camelott® Remote Lockdown Keyfob enables mobile activation of your lockdown system.
A single press sends a secure RF signal to every paired internal and external sounder, ensuring secure-in-place, critical alert or controlled evacuation procedures can begin immediately.

The key differentiator is reliability under pressure. The core alert remains independent of Wi-Fi, ethernet, cloud services and local IT networks,
reducing points of failure during incidents where connectivity, power or access routes may be compromised.

For sites that want an additional layer of clarity, the same activation can be paired with PC screen pop-ups, mobile alerts and screen text display messaging
so the instruction is reinforced in writing, not just in sound and light — particularly useful in visitor-heavy venues, noisy environments and multi-building estates.

Key Features

  • Instant Activation: Wireless handheld trigger for immediate site-wide signalling.
  • Same Alert Standard: Activates the same audible + visual patterns as your Master Call Point for consistent recognition.
  • Independent by Design: Core activation does not rely on Wi-Fi, 4G, servers, dashboards or building networks.
  • Multi-Channel Messaging (Optional): Can support PC pop-ups, mobile notifications and screen text display for written instruction site-wide.
  • Strategic Deployment: Ideal for SLT, safeguarding staff, SEND provisions and roaming leaders.
  • Visual Feedback: Battery powered with an integrated LED confirmation flash.
  • Ecosystem Integration: Pairs with internal & external sounders for whole-site signalling and future expansion.

Why Sites Choose the Keyfob

Fixed points are important — but incidents don’t always happen near them. The keyfob is typically issued to
designated roles so the first person who identifies a threat can raise the alert without losing time moving through a building.
It’s a small device, but it changes the response window.

PC, Mobile & Screen Text Display (Optional)

If your site requires written confirmation alongside the audible and visual alert, Camelott can provide an integrated messaging layer.
When the keyfob is activated, designated zones can display a matching instruction on PC screens, mobile devices and text display signage.

This is often selected for campuses, shared-use buildings, public venues and visitor-heavy environments where consistent instruction is essential.
The RF alert remains the primary activation path, with messaging added as a reinforcement layer where required by your risk assessment.

Strategic Applications

This remote fob is typically deployed in high-mobility roles and sensitive inclusion areas:

  • SLT roaming duties
  • Playground supervision
  • Reception handover safety
  • SEND rooms & ALN pods
  • Pastoral & safeguarding teams
  • Onsite patrol & security

Good Practice Deployment

Most sites assign keyfobs to named roles (rather than leaving them ā€œfloatingā€), align them to training, and keep spares controlled.
Camelott can help define sensible coverage, quantities and escalation procedures based on how staff actually move around your estate.
