Does Camelott provide a school site survey?

Yes. The survey reviews the required alert areas, suitable activation positions, wireless conditions, sound and visual coverage, outdoor locations and any monitoring or notification options the school is considering.

How long does a wireless lockdown alarm take to install?

The timescale depends on the site size, number of units, access and whether detached buildings or external equipment are included. Wireless systems normally require less building work than a new wired network, and the anticipated programme is confirmed after survey.

Will installation disrupt lessons?

Wireless equipment reduces cabling, wall chasing and ceiling access, which normally limits noise and disruption. Access arrangements can be planned with the school, although some fitting, testing and audible commissioning work will still be required.

Can the alarm be heard or seen outdoors?

Does Camelott train school staff?

Operational handover can cover activation, reset, testing, basic checks and the use of any monitoring functions included. The school remains responsible for its wider security policy, emergency procedures, drills and staff responsibilities.

What maintenance does a wireless lockdown alarm need?

Can existing units be expanded later?
